I love the earth loops! Learning about your journey and evolution in regards to organic drum/earth loops has been truly inspiring. Listening to you describe your creative process has lead me to wonder this: have you ever considered making songs or even an album of some sort using earth loops to be put out on streaming platforms? Your loops are essentially compositions and a unique musical sound that you’ve developed as an artist.
Hey Ethan, thanks dawg. It took me until my mid-thirties to have the courage and understanding to do my own thing, that is, organicdrumloops, and much more so now with earthloops. I was chasing dollars for many years and doing what I thought a working musician should be doing. In the end, those experiences were invaluable, and probably necessary preparation for what was to come. Unfortunately, I think we do need to understand the rules before we can break them, for the most part. But, that period of my life was also a distraction from what truly needed to come out of me. I’m just glad I was enlightened enough to make the switch in this lifetime. And yes, all of the music I’ve been writing for the earthloops vids will double as “just music” for streaming. I’ve written more over the years but was never happy with the mix. I’m now at a point where I’m confident in my mixing skills, enough so to release some stuff. Thanks for the encouragement. To create on the fringe needs encouragement, because you rarely get it from the masses :)
